About Us
The label Global Mix was launched in April 2007 with Manu Dibango’s Lion of Africa, a CD & DVD of his 2004 concert at the Barbican, London.
Inspired by the classical label Avie Records, Global Mix operates for and on behalf of the artists who retain the ownership and copyright of their recordings. Its artists therefore have complete control over their recording careers.
The major record labels have downsized their recording programmes in recent years and artists have found it more and more difficult to obtain new recording contracts or replace lost ones. Some have set up their own labels but this is not always the answer – artists often do not have time to devote to the marketing and distribution of their product or the contacts.
Global Mix supports its artists by providing a service that includes excellent production and quality packaging, strong marketing and worldwide distribution. |
